Techcon Building Services operates to aid the building owner meet the demanding maintenance requirements that are deemed essential to keep the building envelope in excellent condition. Inspections and preventative maintenance are important components to consider as the building ages to avoid air and water infiltration.
Our mission is simple-qualify the appropriate system and solution necessary and ensure it is installed as specified.
Services- Inspect the Exterior Building Envelope and Evaluate, Report and Recommend the options to the owner.
Systems- Design a system that delivers to the owner Life Cycle Solutions that offers the Best Return on Investment.
Solutions- Supervise the Work in Progress to ensure the owner gets what they pay for.

Ian Alexander has more than twenty years of experience in the construction industry. He has focused his attention and expertise on the "exterior building envelope" for Manufacturing/Industrial/Institutional/Commercial/Condominium Owners. Techcon Building Services, owned by Mr. Alexander, is in operation to help owners meet the demanding maintenance requirements that are deemed essential to keep their building envelope in excellent condition. “Preventative Maintenance” and regular inspections help the owner avoid unnecessary expenditures (cost of neglect).
Techcon Building Services offers to the owner professional expertise, evaluation and recommendation of the building envelope for“air and water infiltration”. Project Management is another service offered to the owner via the implementation of design, specification and tender process for required projects. On site inspections/job in progress during the construction phase are offered to the owner to ensure the project is completed as per the specification. Final reports are submitted upon completion accompanied with digital photos and the contractor warranty.
Our team consists of two engineers (structural/mechanical), an engineer technician, an infrared specialist, and our qualified building inspectors.. We have been operating as an incorporated company since 2003. Ian Alexander has gained his experience by working for roof and wall manufactures such as Garland Canada, Adex Wall Systems, Classic Wall and STO Industries. Intense and concentrated technical courses were completed while employed with these companies regarding different aspects of the building envelope. Mr. Alexander has graduated from Concordia University with a BA and a Master of Public and Private Administration in 1986. The company is a member of the CEBQ, ASAQ and we are FSI Certified.
As a small business our mission is to become a leader in the inspection and consultation of the "building envelope" with expertise geared towards helping building owners avoid unnecessary or unforeseen expenditures.
